We are writing to personally invite you to our Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Monday, November 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Campus Green, near the Chemistry Building.
This celebration is all about honoring you and your many contributions to our university. It is an opportunity to connect with your colleagues, receive awards and recognition for your tremendous achievements, and eat some great food all while taking a little time off from the work day. Within every unit and department, dedicated staff members work tirelessly to sustain excellence at UC Santa Barbara. You create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment across campus while powering all aspects of our mission, and for that, we are profoundly grateful.
When we walk together through Campus Green, we often find ourselves marveling at the incredible work of all our colleagues who ensure it is beautiful and immaculately maintained. It is an iconic space at UC Santa Barbara, a bustling, verdant hub for our community — staff, students, and faculty alike. So, it is fitting that Campus Green will be the new location for this year’s luncheon.
Life on a university campus can be incredibly busy. The quarters seem to fly by at the speed of light. Yet, at times, it is absolutely essential that we pause and create a respite for joy and togetherness while celebrating the people who mean the most to us. That’s precisely what we will do on November 9.
So, mark your calendars, invite your colleagues, and get ready to show your UC Santa Barbara spirit at the luncheon. We will see you there!
