Dear Members of Our Campus Community,
I am writing to invite you all to join us in recognizing and appreciating the accomplishments and contributions of our staff colleagues during Staff Celebration Week, which will be held this year on May 6-10. We are so glad to have this opportunity to gather together in celebration and appreciation.
We are sincerely grateful for the tremendous work our staff members do all across our campus. Our staff members are an integral part of our UC Santa Barbara family, and we are excited for and look forward to the opportunity to honor the dedicated commitment and service of our staff. We depend on our staff colleagues in countless ways, and we are honored to show our appreciation.
The kickoff event for the week will once again be our Ice Cream Social, sponsored by Staff Assembly, on Monday, May 6, at noon in the SAASB Courtyard. The Staff Celebration Week Luncheon and Presentation of Staff Awards will be held on Tuesday, May 7, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the Club Lawn. Later in the week is our Staff Social and Spring Arts & Crafts Bazaar on Friday, May 10, from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Club Lawn. Other events include the Professional Women’s Association Professional Development Conference on Friday, May 3, the Staff Assembly Cookie Contest on Thursday, May 9, and tours throughout Staff Celebration Week and the month of May.
Both Dilling and I are immensely appreciative and enthusiastically supportive of our Staff Celebration Week activities, and we encourage our staff colleagues to participate in some or all of the events. Staff Celebration Week provides a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, enjoy one another’s company, and celebrate the relationships and friendships that make our campus such a wonderful place to work, live, and learn. Dilling and I look forward to seeing all of you then.
