January 15, 2020

Dear Members of Our Campus Community,

We have the wonderful opportunity to start off the new year by giving back to our community. Through UC Santa Barbara’s longstanding support of United Way, we can help provide a hopeful future for local children, adults, and families.

United Way of Santa Barbara County focuses on improving the health, education, and financial stability of our neighbors through giving, advocacy, and volunteerism. For over 60 years, UC Santa Barbara has been proud to partner with United Way to raise resources and mobilize volunteers to serve those most at risk.

We ask that you join us for our annual United Way Campaign. The 2020 campaign kicks off January 15 and will run through March 6, continuing our theme of “United for Education.” Your contributions will support education enrichment programs, scholarships for students and parents, free children’s books, and much more.

Each year, we are inspired by our faculty, staff, students, and alumni who invest in the communities around us. We hope you will consider participating in this year’s campaign. We encourage you to visit UC Santa Barbara’s United Way website, attend a campus United Way presentation, or talk with your department’s United Way representative to learn more.

Your kindness and generosity make all the difference. Thank you!

Sincerely,
