‘In Solidarity Against Hate and Violence’
On Sunday, we awoke to learn of an act of violence in Sri Lanka. Details of these tragic attacks continue to emerge this morning as we mourn the devastating loss of life and injuries.
On behalf of the UC Santa Barbara community, we extend our deep condolences to the victims and their families and friends, and all those affected by this tragedy. We condemn this vicious act and we stand in solidarity against hate and violence.
We wish to once again express our care and support for our campus community, and remind you of resources that may be of help. For our students who feel in need of counseling, we encourage you to contact CAPS at (805) 893-4411. Our Academic & Staff Assistance Program can be reached at (805) 893-3318.
UC Santa Barbara cares deeply for our community – on campus and beyond. We always find strength in our support of one another.
