Re: President Yudof’s proposal to the Regents
 
I would like to thank everyone who participated in yesterday’s town hall budget forum. We appreciate your thoughtful questions, comments, and suggestions, which we will continue to communicate to the Office of the President and the Regents.
 
As you know, the Regents will be meeting next week in San Francisco. This morning at around 8 a.m., President Yudof will be posting the salary reduction/furlough proposal that he is recommending to the Board of Regents. This proposal, set forth in Regents Item J-2, will be available at the following website: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/regents/regmeet/jul09/j2.pdf.
 
President Yudof will be sending out a letter about this proposal very shortly, but I wanted to share this website with you immediately so that you have access to the most up-to-date information. We are committed to keeping you consulted and informed as the budget situation continues to evolve.
