Following consultation with the Academic Senate and campus colleagues, Executive Vice Chancellor Lucas and I are pleased to announce the formation of a Search Advisory Committee for our next Dean of Mathematical, Life, and Physical Sciences, who will also hold the title of Worster Dean of Science.

We extend our thanks to Professors Diane Mackie and Jim Allen for graciously agreeing to co-chair this important committee. We are also grateful to the members of the committee for generously agreeing to devote their valuable time and wisdom to this important task.
