TO THE CAMPUS COMMUNITY

Dear Colleagues:

Executive Vice Chancellor Gene Lucas and I are pleased to announce that the search advisory committee for our next dean of the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education has been formed. Dean of Social Sciences Melvin Oliver has graciously agreed to serve as the chair.

I am very grateful to Dean Oliver and our search advisory committee members (listed below) for their commitment of time, energy, and wisdom to this important search. An announcement of the position will be circulated shortly.

I would like to take this opportunity to again thank our colleague Jules Zimmer for the exemplary leadership he provided to the GGSE over the last decade. I would also like to thank Professor Gale Morrison for her timely service to our campus community as the acting dean of the Gevirtz School. I look forward to an exceptional year ahead for the GGSE and our campus.

Sincerely,
Henry T. Yang
